Magicopolis serves-up astounding magic in a classy venue that's one block from Santa Monica's popular Third Street Promenade. Its fantastic stage show offers a deft and entertaining mix of large scale illusions, stand-up effects, comedy and music that will appeal to everyone in the family. There are also close-up shows performed at a new bar. There's no dress code and the venue is family friendly.

I started with some drinks...the bartender there was amazing and he was a magician himself! He gave me a rose made out of a napkin! The magic show was great! It was funny and the audience participation is amazing! Kids love it and well I consider myself a big kid so I definitely will go back! I didn't give it 5 stars because one or two of the tricks I saw the secret!!! BUT don't worry...I won't spoil it!!! I recommend this place! Its AWESOME!

My boyfriend took me here this weekend as a surprise and I was quite surprised! It was different from the fancy big special effects magic shows like in Vegas, but also very different from the carnival for elementary school children auditorium break day magician. The people are very friendly here and the magician comes out to hang out with everyone at the mini bar in the front during intermission and afterwards. They also have free comedy magic shows at the bar before and after the show.

I saw "Escape Realty" with a couple of friends last night, and it's wonderful. From first-rate close-up to great stand-up routines to some terrific twists on some classic illusions, it's unlike any show I've seen. There were far too many highlights for me to touch upon without making this post overly long, but suffice it to say that the show's unique blend of sketch comedy, storytelling and mind-boggling magic had the house laughing and cheering almost from the start.

This show was awesome! It had everything that a magic show should, it had big scale illusions, intimate close-up and lots and lots of humor. I can't tel you enough great things about this show, just go see it. My favorite part is when the guy magician slides down the 50' handrail in the theater wearing an old tattered wedding dress. It's perfect for people young and old, it's like Shrek, with great family friendly stuff, but also a few things thrown in just for the adults.
